Wet-area waterproofing is a regulated trade — it must be applied by a licensed waterproofer and inspected before tile-over. We use a licensed waterproofing subcontractor on every bathroom job and supply the compliance certificate to you at handover.

A realistic timeline

A full bathroom strip-out and rebuild typically runs around 3–5 weeks. The reason a small room takes that long is the number of trades that have to work in sequence — demolition, plumbing and electrical rough-in, waterproofing with its mandatory cure time, screeding, tiling, then fit-off — with curing windows that cannot be rushed without risking a failure down the track. We program the trades back-to-back so there is as little idle time as possible.
